Population development of <em>Suturaspis pistaciae </em>Lindinger (Hem.: Diaspididae) and its natural enemies.

Abstract

Population dynamics of Suturaspis pistaciae Lindinger (Hem.: Diaspididae) and its natural enemies had been conducted in pistachio growing areas in Sanliurfa province of Turkey during 1996-1998. Suturaspis pistaciae injures on branch, shoot, leaf and fruit of pistachio trees by sucking. It had been found that there were effective natural enemies on the pest but in some of the orchards which have lack of natural enemy population needs plant protection measures.

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Şanlıurfa İli Antepfıstıklarında 1996-1998 yılları arasında yapılmıştır. Suturaspis pistaciae Antepfıstığı ağaçlarının gövde, dal, sürgün, yaprak ve meyvelerinde emgi yaparak zararlı olan bir türdür. Doğal düşmanlarının zararlı üzerinde etkili olduğu, ancak doğal düşman varlığı yönünden zayıf olan bahçelerde zararlı ile kimyasal mücadele yapılması önerilebilir.
