Abstract

In this study, three different doses of microbial fertilizer containing Azospirillum brasilense isolate (1000ppm in 100lt water, 3500ppm in 100lt water and 6000ppm in 100lt water) were applied to the dormant flower buds of Mihralibey apricot cultivar. Low temperature exotherms (LTEs) of the samples were determined by using differential thermal analysis (DTA) method in spring (pink flower bud and small fruit period). In general, it has been noted that the most effective fertilizer dose for both the pink flower stage and the small fruit stage is 1000ppm Azospirillum brasilense isolate /100Lt water fertilizer dose. As a result, we are of the opinion that the application of 1000ppm Azospirillum brasilense isolate /100Lt water fertilizer dose in regions with the risk of late spring frost may be beneficial in reducing the risk of frost. However, we think that it is necessary to investigate the mechanisms of action of Azospirillum brasilense isolate fertilizer on different ecology, species and varieties in the future in order to provide more reliable information to producers in practice.
