Hosts and some biological characteristics of <em>Citrostichus phyllocnistoides</em> Narayanan (Narayanan, 1960) (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae), a parasitoid of Citrus leafminer, <em>Phyllocnistis citrella</em> (Stainton, 1856) (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae)

This study was carried out to determine the hosts and annual number of generation of Citrostichus phyllocnistoides (Narayanan, 1960) (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae), a specific parasitoid of citrus leafminer, Phyllocnistis citrella (Stainton, 1856) (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae) in eastern Mediterranean region in 2007-2008. To determine the other hosts of the parasitoid, infected plant samples were collected on Mercurialis annua L., Sinapis arvensis L. and Sonchus oleraceus L. plants and cultured in the laboratory to reach to adult stage of parasitoid. Also, cage studies were conducted under field conditions on M. annua plants infected with larvae of Liriomyza spp. to search whether the parasitoid parasitize these leaf miners. The studies to determine annual generation number of C. phyllocnistoides were carried out with citrus saplings infected with III. instar larvae of P. citrella. It is determined that Liriomyza spp. were not the host of C. phyllocnistoides in eastern Mediterranean region and the parasitoid gave 15 generations per year in Adana.

Bu çalışma, Turunçgil yaprak galerigüvesi, Phyllocnistis citrella (Stainton, 1856) (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae)'nın spesifik parazitoiti Citrostichus phyllocnistoides (Narayanan, 1960) (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae)'in konukçularının ve yıllık döl sayısının belirlenmesi amacıyla Doğu Akdeniz Bölgesi'nde 2007-2008 yıllarında yürütülmüştür. Parazitoitin diğer konukçularının belirlenmesi için, Mercurialis annua L., Sinapis arvensis L. ve Sonchus oleraceus L. bitkilerinden örnekler toplanmış, laboratuvarda kültüre alınarak parazitoit ergini elde edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca doğa koşullarında Liriomyza spp. larvalarıyla bulaşık M. annua bitkilerinde kafes denemeleri yapılarak, C. phyllocnistoides'in bu galerisineklerini parazitleyip parazitlemediği araştırılmıştır. C. phyllocnistoides'in yıllık döl sayısının belirlenmesi çalışması, P. citrella'nın III. dönem larvalarıyla bulaşık turunçgil fidanlarında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, Doğu Akdeniz Bölgesi'nde Liriomyza spp.'nin C. phyllocnistoides'in konukçusu olmadığı ve parazitoitin Adana'da yılda 15 döl verdiği belirlenmiştir.
