The Impact of Salt (NaCl) Stress on Germination Characterıstıcs of Gıbberellıc Acid (GA3) Pretreated Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) Seed

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the
effects of gibberellic acid (GA3), which was treated to quiona (Chenopodium
quinoa Willd) seeds before germination, on the germination and the
seedling growth under saline conditions. Quinoa Titicaca variety, four different
GA3 (0.0, 100, 200 and 300 ppm), and four different salt (0.0, 100
mM, 200 mM and 400 mM NaCl) concentrations of exposed stress. Germination power
(%), germination ratio (%), germination index (%), mean germination time (day),
sensitivity index (%) as of the second day of the research, and radicula length
(cm), plumula length (cm), radicula fresh weight (mg), radicula dry weight
(mg), plumula fresh weight (mg), and plumula dry weight (mg) on the 14th
day were examined. The results indicated that the increasing doses of salt
prevented germination and growth parameters of kinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.)
seeds. It was observed that the doses of GA3 (Gibberellic acid),
which increased gradually before the doses of salt, affected germination and
growth positively and significantly. The best results of germination
characteristics of wheat seed were obtained from the combination of 300 ppm
Gibberellic acid + 0 mM (control) salt.

Giberellik Asit (GA3) Ön Uygulamasına Tabi Tutulmuş Kinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) Tohumunda Tuz (NaCl) Stresinin Çimlenme Özellikleri Üzerine Etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırma, kinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.)
tohumlarına çimlenme öncesi uygulanan GA3’ün tuzlu koşullarda
çimlenme ve ilk gelişme üzerine etkilerinin incelenmesi amacıyla yürütülmüştür.
“Titicaca” kinoa çeşidi dört farklı Giberellik asit(0, 100, 200 ve
300 ppm) ön uygulaması ve daha sonra dört farklı tuz (0, 100, 200 ve 400 mM
NaCl) konsantrasyonunda strese maruz bırakılmıştır. Araştırmanın ikinci
gününden itibaren çimlenme gücü (%), çimlenme oranı (%), çimlenme indeksi (%),
ortalama çimlenme süresi (gün), hassaslık indeksi (%) ile 14. gün itibari ile
kök uzunluğu (cm), gövde uzunluğu (cm), kök yaş ağırlığı (mg), kök kuru
ağırlığı (mg), gövde yaş ağırlığı (mg) ve gövde kuru ağırlığı (mg) değerleri
incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre; artan tuz dozlarının, kinoa (Chenopodium
quinoa Willd.) tohumlarının çimlenme ve büyüme parametrelerini engellediği
tespit edilmiştir. Tuz dozlarının aksine artan GA3 (Giberellik asit)
dozlarının ise çimlenme ve büyüme üzerine olumlu ve önemli etki yaptığı
görülmüştür. Kinoa tohumunda en iyi çimlenme özellikleri 300 ppm giberellik
asit + 0 mM (kontrol) tuz kombinasyonundan elde edilmiştir.
