Was born in 1947 in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
Academic degree - Candidate of Biological Sciences (equivalent to a PhD in biology).
Academic title - Senior Researcher.

Education
1980 р. defended the thesis for the degree of candidate of biological sciences on the topic "Flowering, pollination and spontaneous hybridization in the genus Aegilops L.", specializing in "Botany"..
1974–1978 Postgraduate studies in the N.I. Vavilov All-Union Institute of Plant Industry (by absenteeism).
1965–1970 Kharkiv Agricultural Institute named after VV Dokuchaev,
Faculty of Agronomy, Department of Breeding and Seed Production.
Thesis on the topic "Influence of gamma radiation and chemical mutagens on spring barley varieties".

Research
Comprehensive study of the einkorn wheats genetic diversity.
Participation in international wheat research programs organized by CIMMYT - IWWIP, IWIN.
Studying the inheritance of resistance to fungal diseases (leaf rust, yellow rust, stem rust, powdery mildew, common bunt, loose smut) in hybrids of common wheat with amphidiploids of different genomic structure. Discovering the linkage of resistance genes with gametocidal genes and substantiating the possibility of practical use of this phenomenon (together with Dr. I. G. Odintsova).
Discovering of a wheat species Triticum sinskajae A. Filat. et Kurk. (wheat of E.N. Sinskaja) - the only species of diploid (2n=14) einkorn wheat with easy threshing (together with PhD. A.A.Filatenko).
Analysis of morphological traits and clarification of the intraspecific classification of wild wheat species T.boeoticum Boiss., T. araraticum Jakubz., T. dicoccoides (KÖRN. ex ASCH. & GRAEBN.) SCHWEINF.
A botanical and ecological study and a study of the grain qualities of the diversity of cultivated emmer (Triticum dicoccum Schrank);
Organization and taking part in 30 expeditions for exploring and collecting plant genetic resources accessions, including 7 international, in Dagestan, Azerbaijan and Western Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova.
