Evergreen shrub species widely grown in the Mediterranean region provide an important feed resource throughout the year, especially for grazing small ruminants. In order to reach high animal performances and to benefit optimally from these species, it is important to know the forage values of the grazing plant parts seasonally. In this study, it was aimed to determine the nutrient content change of leaf and leaf + twings of Kermes oak, Mock privet and Wild olive grown widely in Kilis maquis seasonally (spring, summer and autumn). At the end of the research, the crude protein (CP) and relative feed value (RFV), which are significant in terms of triple interactions, were found to be highest in the leaf + twings of Mock privet sampled in spring. However, neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and acid detergent lignin (ADL) ratio were determined in the leaves of Kermes oak generally harvested in summer and autumn. When evaluated in terms of binary interactions, dry matter digestibility (DMD) and metabolic energy (ME) of leaf and leaf + twing parts of Mock privet collected in spring were found higher than the other species and seasons. In addition, the highest acid detergent fibre (ADF) ratio was measured in the leaves of Kermes oak generally harvested in the fall. Consequently, it was revealed that leaf + twings of Mock privet species had a higher feed quality at the beginning of growth period while Kermes oak’s leaves had a lower feed quality in the late development periods.
