Tarımda Tasarruf Oluşumu Üzerinde Aile İçi Dinamiklerin ve Sosyo-Ekonomik Faktörlerin Etkisi

Öz

Bu çalışmada, kırsal hanelerde yaşayan çiftçilerin tasarruf davranışlarındaki cinsiyet etkisini araştırılmış ve tasarruf davranışını cinsiyete göre etkileyen faktörler belirlenmiştir. Bu amaçla, Türkiye'nin Konya ilinde 268 tarım hanesi arasında bir anket yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada, erkek ve kadın hanelerin tasarruflarının bileşimindeki farklılıkları açıklamak için hiyerarşik olmayan bir kümeleme analizi yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada ayrıca tasarruf davranışındaki cinsiyet farklılıklarını belirlemek için doğrusal regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Hanehalkı anket sonuçları, ekonomik büyüme için daha fazla tasarruf seferber etmek amacıyla farklı gelir fırsatları sunan alternatif kaynaklara ihtiyaç duyulduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Bunun nedeni, yatırım fonlarının önemli bir kısmının kentsel veya kırsal alanlara bakılmaksızın gayrimenkul veya araç fonlarına kanalize edilmesidir. Bu nedenle alternatif yatırım araçlarının teşvik edilmesi ve yaygınlaştırılması ve tasarrufların kullanımı için politika önerilerinin geliştirilmesi gerekmektedir. Cinsiyete duyarlı finansal katılım programlarının entegrasyonu, tarım sektöründe finansal kaynaklara erişimdeki cinsiyet farkını etkili bir şekilde kapatmayı hedeflemeli ve nihai olarak sektörün bir bütün olarak sürdürülebilir kalkınmasına katkıda bulunmalıdır.

Abstract

This study investigated the influence of gender on the savings behavior of farmers living in rural households and identified the factors that influence savings behavior by gender. For this purpose, a survey was conducted among 268 agricultural households in Konya province of Türkiye. A non-hierarchical cluster analysis was conducted to explain differences in the composition of savings between male and female households. Linear regression analysis was also used to identify gender differences in savings behavior. The results of the household survey showed the need for alternative sources of income that provide diverse income opportunities to mobilize more savings for economic growth. This is because a significant portion of investment funds is channeled into property or vehicle funds, irrespective of whether it is in urban or rural areas. Therefore, there is a need to promote and expand alternative investment instruments and develop policy recommendations for the use of savings. The integration of gender-sensitive financial inclusion programs should aim to effectively close the gender gap in access to financial resources in the agricultural sector and ultimately contribute to the sustainable development of the sector.
