Investigation of Growth Performance of Akkaraman Lambs Raised by Public in Bingöl Province

In this study, the effects of age, sex and birth type on the sixth month actual weight (AW) and weaning weight (WW) of Akkaraman lambs raised in Bingöl and the effects of age and gender on birth weight (BW) were investigated. As a result of the factorial ANOVA test, the AW variable differed significantly by age, gender and birth type (p<0.001) and age*sex*delivery type interaction (p<0.05). Since the interaction is important, the Tukey comparison test was performed according to the interaction, and the difference between the 6-month-old actual weights of single and female lambs was found to be significant (p<0.05). WW variable differed significantly according to birth type and gender, BW variable according to birth type, sex and birth type*gender interaction (p<0.001). In the multiple regression model investigating the effect on body weight, the effects of weaning weight, birth weight, birth type, gender and age were found to be significant (p<0.001). It is thought that it will be beneficial for researchers and breeders to consider it as a criterion in the selection of breeders, since it is affected by actual weight, birth weight, weaning weight, age, sex and birth type during the growth period of lambs.

Bu çalışmada Bingöl’de yetiştirilen Akkaraman ırkı kuzuların altıncı ay canlı ağırlığına (AW) ve sütten kesim ağırlığına (WW) yaş, cinsiyet ve doğum tipi gibi faktörlerin etkisi ile doğum ağırlığı (BW) üzerinde yaş ve cinsiyetin etkileri araştırılmıştır. Faktöriyel ANOVA testi sonucunda, AW değişkeni yaş, cinsiyet ve doğum tipi (p<0.001) ve yaş*cinsiyet*doğum tipi interaksiyonuna göre önemli farklılık göstermiştir (p<0.05). İnteraksiyon önemli olduğundan interaksiyona göre Tukey karşılaştırma testi yapılmış, tek ve dişi kuzularda 6. aylık yaştaki canlı ağırlıkları arası farklılık önemli bulunmuştur (p<0.05). WW değişkeni doğum tipi ve cinsiyete göre, BW değişkeni ise doğum tipi, cinsiyet ve doğum tipi*cinsiyet interaksiyonuna göre önemli farklılık göstermiştir (p<0.001). Vücut ağırlığına etkiyi araştıran çoklu regresyon modelinde sütten kesim ağırlığı, doğum ağırlığı, doğum tipi, cinsiyet ve yaşın etkileri önemli bulunmuştur (p<0.001). Kuzularda büyüme döneminde doğum ağırlığı, sütten kesim ağırlığı, yaş, cinsiyet ve doğum tipinden etkilenmesi nedeniyle damızlık seçiminde kriter olarak ele alınmasının araştırmacılar ve yetiştiriciler için faydalı olacağı düşünülmektedir.
