Triglochin laxiflora (Juncaginaceae); a New Record for the Flora of Türkiye From Baskil (Elazığ/Türkiye)
Abstract
In this study, although it is widespread in most countries around the Mediterranean; the distribution of Triglochin laxiflora Guss., whose distribution is unknown in Türkiye, was recorded for the first time from Baskil District (Elazığ/Türkiye). This new record is close to the Triglochin barrelieri Loisel, which is also known to be distributed in Türkiye; it differs from it in that its leaves are shorter than the stem (half the length of the stem or shorter), its pedicels are more appressed to the stem, and its flowering period late (in autumn). In addition, the characteristics of T. laxiflora samples collected from Baskil were compared with the known descriptive characteristics of this species and some differences (variations) were emphasized.
